Jharkhand Students Plan Independence Day Tiranga Yatra
Yesterday, student protesters in Ranchi announced plans for a Tiranga Yatra to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day.
The planned ‘Tiranga Yatra’ by Jharkhand student protesters aligns with the ongoing nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which aims to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence by promoting national unity and patriotism. The campaign has seen widespread participation, including the inauguration of Har Ghar Tiranga kiosks by officials like Shri Manohar Lal and events organized by the NCC Group Headquarters in Nagpur, reflecting its emphasis on collective engagement. The Prime Minister’s recent homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat further underscores the symbolic connection between such initiatives and the values of national harmony. The students’ initiative in Jharkhand emerges within this broader context of state and societal efforts to reinforce unity through symbolic acts centered on the national flag.
